What Technology can we expect to see in Future Photoshop releases?

From the Photoshop laboratory it seems there are several wins in the CS5 version release. Many would prefer a revised interface, though it seems things may change more in the under the bonnet area as opposed to a smart new user interface. So what do we think we will see in the final release of cs5?

• General improvement on brushes whether blending or mixing variants, with the menu restructuring.
  
• A enhanced photoshop workflow
• Patch Match - an incredible improvement on the healing tool
• Color mixing just like a real painters palletteboard
• Greater font organisation
• Greater control using the warp tool.

There are new brushes with a reall feel to them. Science has dictated paints and brushes to work with somewhat greater reality in this release, whereby they can be smudged, smeared, mixes and blended. Stroke types are far more realistic.

Warp Tool

Photoshop CS5 allows artists to use an incredible enhanced warp tool by placing pins into areas of the image, enabling photos to instantly be changes with almost a puppet like ability - this is a real win in CS5.

 

Patch Match

Patch match looks at what the background is around the selected area and then fills the area with a multiple patch of background.
This gives very convincing results an enables anyone to make some great changes. - take a look in this video preview...

 

When will Photoshop CS5 be released?
